NOSi Welcomes Visit from World Bank's Executive Director

NOSi had the privilege of hosting Mr. Abdoul Salam Bello, the Executive Director of the World Bank responsible for 23 African countries, including Cabo Verde, during his visit to the country. The visit took place on Thursday, July 13, at the Data Center facilities. Mr. Bello's visit aimed to explore the development potential and new financing opportunities for strategic areas, particularly in the fields of digital and energy transition.

During his visit, Mr. Abdoul Salam Bello had the opportunity to tour the Data Center facilities and attend presentations showcasing technological solutions and relevant projects developed by NOSi. He expressed his deep admiration for the country's dynamic approach to digitalization and the investments made in this domain.

Mr. Bello was warmly received by Mr. Pedro Lopes, the Secretary of State for Digital Economy, and the Board of Directors of NOSi, led by President Carlos Tavares Pina. He was accompanied by Mr. Harold Tavares, the Deputy Executive Director of the World Bank, and Mr. Nuno Gomes, the coordinator of UGPE (General Unit of Private Sector Support). The visit further strengthens the partnership between the World Bank and Cabo Verde in their joint pursuit of digital transformation and sustainable development.
