NOSi was pleased to support the Paz e Amor Elementary School project, located in the Vila Nova neighbourhood of Praia, and participated this Tuesday, February 24, in the inauguration of a school library and a computer lab. This initiative is aligned with NOSi’s ongoing commitment to promoting literacy and digital inclusion, particularly among children and adolescents.
NOSi was represented by its Executive Administrator, Lumumba Barbosa. The event was also attended by the Ministry of Education’s representative for the Municipality of Praia, Constantina Ferreira Afonso; the Director of School Cluster No. 9 in Praia, Edmira Barbosa; the school manager, Diva Lobo; the school’s patron, Yara Santos, who presented the project to NOSi; as well as representatives of parents and guardians, teachers, and students from Paz e Amor Elementary School.
As part of this partnership, NOSi provided and installed computer equipment and donated materials to equip the school library, contributing to the creation of a more inclusive and stimulating educational environment focused on developing essential skills.
Paz e Amor Elementary School currently serves 459 students from grades 1 to 6, most of whom come from vulnerable socio-economic backgrounds. Through this initiative, NOSi reaffirms its commitment to education, digital inclusion, and social development, placing technology at the service of communities and the future of children.
