NOSi Participates in the LID Conference & Digital ID Hub 2026

Under the theme “Waves from the Industry to Surf the Future of Identity – Digital Identity Wallets: Security and Trust in the AI Era”, the first edition of the conference in Lisbon took place on 27 and 28 May at the Fundação Oriente, as part of the LID Conference Digital ID Hub.

At the invitation of the organisers, NOSi was represented by its Chairman of the Board of Directors, Carlos Tavares Pina, who participated as a speaker in two prominent sessions.

In his first intervention, he joined the panel “Interoperability in Production: What Breaks and How to Scale”, where he shared Cabo Verde’s practical experience in implementing interoperable solutions in real-world environments.

In the second session, he presented “Building Digital Identity and Trust: An Experience Beyond Technology – The Cabo Verde Experience”, highlighting the country's journey in building digital identity and trust systems, as well as its key milestones, challenges, and future perspectives.

Over the two-day event, the conference brought together international experts, leaders, and decision-makers in sessions and panels dedicated to the most relevant topics in digital identity and trust. Key themes included artificial intelligence, the evolution of eID and digital wallets, governance, privacy, trust models, interoperability and systems integration, as well as practical use cases and user-centred approaches, including digital signatures and emerging identification paradigms.

NOSi’s participation in this conference represented an important opportunity to share knowledge and keep pace with the global trends shaping the next generation of digital trust solutions.
