The current cycle of digital transformation requires not only significant investment but also disruptive thinking and a new form of collaboration among governments, companies, regulators, researchers, and technology users in general.

In this context, and as part of NOSi’s participation in MWC26 Barcelona, a high-level meeting took place on 3 March 2026 between the NOSi delegation, led by its President, Carlos Tavares Pina, accompanied by Board Member Lumumba Barbosa and his team, and a Huawei delegation led by the President of Huawei’s Global Public Services Unit, Mr. Xia Guohuan, accompanied by the President of the Enterprise and Cloud Business for the North Africa Region, Mr. Colin Hu, and their respective teams.

We would like to highlight and express our appreciation for the key role played by the General Manager of Huawei Cape Verde, Mr. Marcus Yin, and his team in organizing this important working meeting, aimed at aligning and strengthening the strategic partnership between NOSi and Huawei. This collaboration enables both organizations to move forward in a transparent and responsible manner, in line with the shared objective of ensuring that emerging technologies deliver a positive impact on society.
