On June 18 and 19, in the city of Praia, NOSi, E.P.E. hosted the presentation of the Final Projects (PoC–Final) by the 43 graduating interns of the 17th edition of the NOSiAkademia Program, who come from various islands of Cabo Verde and Guinea-Bissau.
The opening ceremony featured remarks by the NOSiAkademia Program Coordinator, Luisa Chantre, who highlighted the program’s impact on developing young talent; by NOSi’s Executive Director, Mayra Silva, who reinforced the institution’s commitment to training, innovation, and youth employability; and by the Director General of the National Social Security Institute (INSS) of Guinea-Bissau, Dr. Cheikh Amadu Bamba Kote, who emphasized the highly positive impact that this partnership with NOSi, in the areas of talent development and capacity building, is having on the digital transformation of the institution he represents.
Over the course of two days, the interns presented the results of the work they had carried out during their six-month internship, demonstrating the skills they acquired in various technological fields and their practical application in real-world projects. Among the participants were six interns from Guinea-Bissau, whose involvement underscores the program’s international dimension and regional cooperation.
The event was also attended by members of the NOSi Board of Directors, as well as representatives from public and private organizations, both national and international, that are partners in the initiative.
Since its launch in 2016, the NOSiAkademia Program has received approximately 3,000 applications, benefited more than 500 young people, and achieved an employability rate of over 80%, establishing itself as a benchmark in preparing young people for the job market and entrepreneurship.
NOSi therefore reaffirms its ongoing commitment to developing human capital and building an increasingly inclusive, innovative, and competitive digital ecosystem.
