SIM– Municipal Information System

simThe SIM – The Municipal Information System – was initially conceived in 2002 by the government of Cape Verde with the support of development partners, and was implemented by NOSi.

 

The SIM includes: the installation of computer infrastructures of local network in towns, installation of data centres, and an information system that covers every management town domains, such as Financial Management, Human Resources, Management of Tax and Fees, Authorisation, Lands. It integrates municipalities in the State network, allowing them to access to e-mail and Internet. 

 

The SIM’s 2.0 version will still allow the removal of Management Counts in real time and always. Through internet and after registration at the Portal “Porton de nos ilha” it is possible to demand the following services:

 

Certificate of property tax record; Commercial licensing; application for lands; lease licensing;  Real property regime; Property tax; Vehicle tax; Applications for site location plan; Fee farm payment.

• Town Council of Praia, Town Council of São Vicente; Town Council of Sal; municipalities of  Santiago (in the interior of the island).

 

Current implementation: Municipalities of Santiago (in the interior of the island); Fogo and Brava.


The Town Council of Ribeira Brava; the stalling commission  of Tarrafal municipality of S. Nicolau island; Town Council of Ribeira Grande; Town Council of Porto Novo, Town Council of Paul; Town Council of Boa Vista are being prepared.
