The country’s approach to improve the efficiency of services goes through the holistic approximation that allows the integration of all public services included in life cycle of economic operator.

Cape Verde has been developing a framework for business environment settled on a solid utilization of new technologies and on information’s share among the diverse departments included in this process.

The framework for the improvement of business environment contemplates a common platform and strongly supported by a national strategic for e-Governance that assures a technological harmonization of all solutions, as well as a unique communication infrastructure. This common platform called “Platform for Life Cycle of Economic Operator” is supported by a whole “support transversal system” that has as mission making available electronic information, trough an “integration platform”, to diverse stages of Life cycle of economic operator. Cape Verde has already the advanced solutions in production of Fiscal environment and of territorial Management.

All the life cycle of economic operator (Registration, Authorisation, Functioning, and Close) is being conceived based on the Operator’s need, and enlarging the potential of an integrated approach. In such a context arises the “Empresa no dia (Enterprise in a single day). More than half of the created enterprises are being registered in less than one hour through this solution. The authorisation and closure stages of the enterprises are about to be completed.

In order to improve the business environment in Cape Verde and within the integration platform, it was developed and implemented a special registration System of property that allows the great tourist undertaking to make its registration, to sell, to mortgage, within 48 hours as time limit.
